SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Becky Hammon scored 12 of her 32 points in overtime and the San Antonio Silver Stars beat the Detroit Shock 100-88 on Saturday.
San Antonio (12-17) forced overtime when Sophia Young hit a 14-footer with 2 seconds left to tie the game at 79. Deanna Nolan had a shot to win at the end of regulation, but her jumper bounced off the rim.
With the game tied at 83, Hammon took over hitting back-to-back 3-pointers to help San Antonio pull out the win. She bounced back from a scoreless performance in Thursday's loss to Indiana to also have nine assists.
Nolan led Detroit (13-15) with 34 points. Kara Braxton added 14 for the defending champions, who were missing Katie Smith - sidelined with lower back pain.
