VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Wayne County authorities say two Detroit men drowned after their fishing boat sank in Belleville Lake.

Van Buren Township police identify the victims as 63-year-old Fred Lewis Jr. and 46-year-old William D. McRae. A third man in the boat, 66-year-old Nathaniel Deck of Redford, was rescued.

Police say the men went out in a 12-foot boat Tuesday morning and the boat began taking on water. None of the men wore life jackets.

Belleville Lake is about 25 miles west-southwest of Detroit.
