MUSKEGON, Mich. (AP) - A judge has ordered a teenager to stand trial in the shooting death of a Muskegon Community College student.
Seventeen-year-old Antonio Ramsey is accused of shooting Andrea Parnell three times in the back of the head because he wanted her school tuition money.
At the end of a probable cause hearing on Tuesday, 60th District Judge Maria Ladas Hoopes ordered Ramsey bound over for trial on charges of open murder and possessing a firearm while committing a felony.
No trial date has been set, and Ramsey remains in the Muskegon County jail.
Parnell was the mother of a 15-month-old girl. The 19-year-old died at a Muskegon hospital a few hours after the shooting earlier this month.
