MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) - Mid-Michigan authorities have charged two people in connection with a monthlong series of daytime home break-ins.
A 21-year-old Lake man and a 25-year-old Mount Pleasant woman were arraigned Tuesday afternoon in Isabella County Trial Court on first-degree home invasion charges. They were arrested Monday night during a surveillance operation.
James Michael-Paul Foster also was charged with three weapons charges and resisting arrest. He was being held on a $150,000 bond. Ashley Nicole Bush was released on a personal bond.
The Isabella County Jail would not say Tuesday whether Foster or Bush had attorneys. Mount Pleasant police could not be reached for comment after business hours.
Police say 17 home invasions have taken place in the Mount Pleasant area since Nov. 22. They say the stolen items are worth about $21,000.
