Recipe from Sheri Garwood
2 C. Brown Sugar
1 C. White Sugar
1 C. Butter Flavored Crisco
3 Eggs (Beaten)
1 C. Buttermilk
1/2 tsp. Vanilla
3 tsp. Baking Powder
2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Nutmeg
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/8 tsp. Salt
Flour till stiff (Approximately 6 cups)
Cream shortening and sugar. Add beaten eggs. Mix milk and vanilla in. Sift Baking Powder, Baking Soda, Nutmeg, Cinnamon and Salt with flour. Chill dough before rolling out for best results.
Bake at 350 degress for about 7 to 10 minutes. Don't overwork dough and don't overbake! They can be used as a drop cookie (use less flour) or they can be rolled out and cut. They are great!!
Makes about 15 dozen and are great with Cream Chees frosting. (I used ready made frosting).
