Abby Grimmett joined the 6 News team in November 2010 as the Jackson Bureau reporter. Abby grew up on a small family farm near Perry, Missouri, population 668. She got her Journalism degree and an Agricultural Economics minor from the University of Missouri.
While in Columbia, Abby reported for the NBC affiliate, KOMU. Abby also had a stint in radio, reporting for KMOX in its State Capitol Bureau and then at Zimmer Radio Group in Columbia. Abby also spent a summer in England, working for CBS News in its London Bureau.
Abby loves college football, especially the Mizzou Tigers. Abby is also eager to try out some of the great golf courses in Jackson. She's a former titleholder in the Miss America Organization. Her talent was classical piano.
