Lansing Police, Feds Make Three Drug Busts

Eight people were arrested after police launched three drug raids two blocks apart.

It all went down along the 1100 and 1200 blocks of West Michigan Ave. at 8 p.m. on Tuesday night.

Officers from Lansing's undercover unit, patrol division, investigations team, and special operations team joined forces with officers from Clinton County and federal officials from the Drug Enforcement Agency and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.

The three raids were the result of three separate investigations, but police say they launched all three raids at once so as not to force any of the suspects underground.

The raids turned up drugs, a handgun, and a long gun.

Of the eight people arrested, three have already bonded out. Several have yet to be arraigned.

Darren Cunningham is working this story and will have more tonight on 6 News at 6.
