The 17th annual Jazzfest kicks off Friday in Lansing's Old Town.
The two day music festival is free and features local and national artists. There is plenty of food, clothing, arts and crafts as well as children's activities like face painting and a petting zoo at the festival.
It starts Friday at 4:30 pm and Saturday at 1 pm at the corner of Grand River Avenue and Turner Street.
There are road closures to accommodate the JazzFest. Turner street between Grand River avenue and Dodge river drive is closed. The road will remain closed through the weekend and will re-open Sunday at 6 pm.
