Return to Team

Greg Adaline returns to WLNS as co-anchor of 6 News at 6 and 11. It's a homecoming of sorts for Greg, who previously anchored and reported at 6 News for nearly 5 years.
He is very excited and honored to deliver the news that matters to you, as part of Mid-Michigan's News Leader. A native of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Greg is a proud alumnus of Oakland University in Rochester, MI. He got his break on television at WDIV in Detroit, selected among 300 candidates to report for the NBC affiliate in the summer of 2004.
Greg came to Lansing in December of that same year, as co-anchor of 6 News This Morning, a position he held until May of 2009. While he enjoyed the early morning hours, and the great people at WLNS, Greg left Lansing for Kansas City, MO to join KCTV, the CBS affiliate.
Originally hired as a general assignment reporter, Greg covered stories of national importance while at KCTV. Among them, the murder of late term abortion doctor George Tiller, and the closing of nearly 30 schools in the Kansas City Missouri School District, part of a massive down-sizing effort. After only one year in the field, Greg was promoted to the anchor desk, where he anchored the morning and noon broadcasts at the station.
Greg has enjoyed success covering breaking news, and big stories, but he is most proud of his work in the community. Greg served on the board of directors at Hope Faith Ministries, a homeless day shelter in Kansas City. He was also a mentor with Big Brothers / Big Sisters from 2010-2011.
Family is very important to Greg, so coming home to Michigan is especially rewarding. Greg and his wife, Kristen are the proud parents of their daughter Evie. The couple also has two dogs; Bogart, a French Bulldog, and Henry, a Shorkie. When Greg isn't on TV, he likes to spend time with the people who matter most in his life.
He is also a huge fan of the Michigan State Spartans, Tigers, Pistons, Wings....and yes, even the Lions. Greg says he is grateful to be back in Mid-Michigan "where the people have always made this city great." If you have a story idea, drop him a line at gadaline@wlns.com. He's also on facebook as WLNS Greg Adaline. He'd love it if you "fan" him there.
