Crimestoppers needs your help solving two cold case homicides.

In one murder police believe the victim was at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Two years ago, on August 22nd 2009 at 10:30 at night Lansing police responded to a shooting that had just taken place in the 900 block of West Cavanaugh. A small group of people had gathered when someone in the crowd fired several shots into the home hitting 19-year old Edrick Raynard Hinton.

Hinton died from the gun fire.

At this time police do not believe Hinton was the intended target.

The next cold case happened July 21st, 2008.

Officers responded to the 200 block of west Barnes around 9:17 at night.

They were told a man was bleeding there.

When they arrived they found 32 year old Jason Kenneth Cook dead on the floor of his residence.

The actual time of the shooting is believed to be earlier than police discovered Cook's body.
