Governor Snyder Says He Will Seek Reelection

Governor Rick Snyder says he will run for a second term. The governor made the announcement while in Grand Rapids Thursday.

Snyder governor told 6 News' Capitol Correspondent Tim Skubick he wanted to debunk public reports that he was not going to seek reelection and said it is his intention to run again. Snyder also told Skubick his family is on board with the idea.

While Snyder said this is not a formal announcement he left no doubt that if the voters reelect him he will serve a second term.

The governor was in Grand Rapids Thursday to address the Michigan Municipal League. The event was focusing on improving services at the local level.
