A flash of fall festivities will fill up Fenner Nature Center over the weekend.
It's the 38th Annual Apple Butter Festival, happening Saturday and Sunday in Lansing.
"It's a very pleasant way to start the fall...people always wait for it," said Leona Good.
"You know, learning all about the apples, the center, nature...definitely a lot of great experiences," said Fenner Volunteer, Courtney Ingalls.
"It's a great family event with plenty of activities around the apple butter and we're a non-profit so events like this really help keep the operations going," said Jason Meyer, executive Director of Fenner Conservancy.
The Apple Butter Festival experience cannot be complete with actually stirring the butter and singing the famous song "Stir to the right, stir to the left, stir to keep it thick, stir stir quick."
This year's Apple Butter Festival is Saturday and Sunday from 11 to 5. It's free for everyone and will feature live entertainment, crafts and games and of course apple butter making and tasting.
