Some sick little kids got some very special visitors Wednesday but they weren't wearing red and white, they were wearing green and white.
About a dozen Spartan athletes from various sports played Santa for the kids at Sparrow Hospital. They handed out a bunch of MSU gear plus toys and gifts donated by Meijer.
And while they're always happy to take to the court or the field to bring smiles to the faces of Spartan fans the athletes say it's hard to top something like this.
"Just seeing what these kids are going through and understanding that and being able to give back and seeing the smiles on their face really I mean you know we have a lot going on finals week is right now but really I'm saying this is the best part of our week giving back the way we have and seeing how they respond how much it means to them," said Keith Nichol, MSU football player.
