The Falcon F7 is on display at the North American International Auto Show, but it's not under flashing lights or on a two-story display. Despite that, it's still a show stopper.
This car has been catching everybody's eye at the auto show, but it's not just good looking, it's also made right here in Michigan.
"It's made in Holly, Michigan. Most of the components are also made in Michigan, the chassy is made in Clinton Township, the seats are sewn up in Waterford," said Jeff Lemke with Falcon Motorsports.
It doesn't stop there.
"The engine is made in Waterford, carbon fiber intake runners are made in Troy and we build the body panels in Holly and assemble the car in Holly," said Lemke.
Lemke developed the Falcon F7. He says it's got a V8 engine that delivers a total of 620 horsepower. It has a carbon fiber body and as of right now it's the only one in the world. A buyer in New York has already scooped it up.
Lemke says he made it because he wanted one himself, and based on the response it's gotten so far, it seems many others do too.
"This car is just fun. It's just total adrenaline. It's total excitement," said Lemke.
Officials say they'll produce about 10 this year and another 20 next year. Right now the car has a pretty hefty price tag, $225,000 dollars.
Lemke says the car isn't entirely finished yet. He still has some finishing touches to do.
The auto show opens to the public on Saturday and will run through January 22. The show is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day but Sunday. Sunday it's open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
