MSU Hockey Team Delivers Teddy Bears To Sparrow

Patients in Sparrow's Pediatrics unit got some fuzzy, new friends Thursday afternoon.

Members of the Michigan State University hockey team delivered hundreds of stuffed animals to the hospital's pediatrics playroom. Spartan hockey fans donated the toys during this year's annual Teddy Bear Toss.

Some of the players were even on hand to give the bears and other animals their new homes. @

"The part I enjoy is coming here with my teammates because we are just a bunch of big kids and we have just as much fun as the kids do rolling around in the pile of stuffed animals and picking out our favorites. So it's great to get to know the kids, you know, help them out today and play with them a little bit, it's fun," said A.J. Michigan State Defenseman.

This is the third year the hockey team has collected the stuffed animals to donate to the hospital.
