Police Release Sketch Of Okemos Bank Robbery Suspect

Wednesday at approximately 11:31 a.m., the Fifth Third Bank located at 4815 in Okemos was robbed.

At the time of the robbery, there were no customers in the bank. No one was injured during the robbery. Officers from East Lansing, Ingham County, and Michigan State University responded to assist.

Employees reported that a suspect entered the bank, displayed a handgun, and took money. The suspect then left the business by the front door and ran away in a southwesterly direction.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, thin build, and no facial hair. He was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, jeans, black tennis shoes with a white band around the sole, aviator-style sunglasses, and a red bandana was covering his face (pictured left).

The incident remains under investigation. Police are seeking assistance from anyone having information about this crime.
