An early morning fire destroys a barn in Ingham County, killing many animals in the process.
At 1:30 a.m., flames broke out in the barn on Ewers Road in Bunker Hill Township.
Fire crews say they had it under control in about 30 minutes, but 18 pigs and a number of piglets died in the fire.
Officials believe a heating lamp used to keep the piglets warm sparked and caused the fire.
The farmer also lost a brand new tractor and beans for next year's harvest. The barn is destroyed.
