Michael Bowman, a 50-year-old Lansing man, lead Lansing Police on a chase Tuesday morning.

It started just before 1:30 a.m. at the Quality Dairy store in the 900 block of Cavanaugh Road.

Police say an employee called 911 after noticed Bowman sitting in his car in the parking lot for over a half hour. Officials say an officer responded and was walking up to the car when he backed up, nearly hitting the officer, and took off.

Officers followed Bowman about a mile and half south on Pennsylvania Avenue when he stopped at Pennsylvania Avenue and Miller Road at the Speedway gas station.

Bowman was arraigned Tuesday on charges of possession of a narcotic, fleeing a police officer, and operating while intoxicated.
