There's some good news for Lansing's Capitol Region International Airport.
After a few difficult years more people are choosing to fly at Capital Region International Airport.
New stats out Monday show in December of 2011, over 365,000 people either took off or landed at the airport.
That's a 38 percent increase from the year before.
One reason is the success of Sun Country Airlines, which began non-stop service from Lansing to D.C. and Minneapolis this past April.
Sun County also flies non-stop to some spring break hot spots and that helped as well.
Also, after a few years of higher prices, Delta Airlines is offering cheaper fares in and out of Lansing to compete with Sun Country.
While this is just one good year, the positive numbers could mean things are taking off here in Lansing.
