Ann Romney Campaigns in Jackson

With just a week left before the Michigan primary, Mitt Romney and his wife are paying close attention to our state.

The two have been campaigning around Michigan this month and Monday night Ann Romney stopped by the Lincoln Day Dinner in Jackson.

Before Mitt Romney decided to run for president his wife Ann says she had just one question for him:

Ann Romney: "Can you fix it? and he said 'yes' and I'm like that's all I need to know, lets go."

Speaking before a crowd of hundreds Romney played up her family's Michigan roots.

Romney: "Once Mitt is president of the United States, when he's in that office, we're gonna be thinking about you folks, thinking about Michigan, making sure Michigan has jobs and a strong economy."

Most people at the speech say they like what Romney had to say.

Ron Jones: "We've gotta get this country turned around and it seems like the republicans are the only ones that can do it and its gotta be a conservative republican that will do it."

Alex Wesche: "I haven't really listened to Mitt Romney too much but now that I have I'm definitely considering him for president."

But even after Monday night's speech, many are still unsure if Romney's the guy for the job.

Ron Jones: "I like what Romney has done in the past, on the other hand, ya know the other candidates have had good messages too so its gonna be a difficult decision for everybody I think."

Brenda Aubrey: "I'm still on the fence, I'm kinda...still watching."

Watching and waiting to decide who's right for Michigan.
