Lansing Police have arrested two men who they say led officers on a high speed chase.

It all unfolded just before 1:30 Tuesday morning near Jolly and Cedar when an officer noticed a car driving around a car dealership.

The officer approached the driver and he sped off. A short time later another officer spotted the car just two miles away near Provincial Drive and Aurelius Road.

Police arrested the driver, a 21-year-old Lansing man. The driver's charges have been dropped pending further investigation.

The passenger, 22-year-old Eric Darnell Blakney-Smith, fought back before he was arrested. He was arraigned Tuesday on charges of resisting arrest and delivering/manufacturing marijuana. He's expected to be back in court next Tuesday.

One officer suffered some minor cuts and was treated and released from the hospital.

Police also found drugs on both men.
