If the presidential election were held now, it appears President Barack Obama would beat any of the four republicans vying for their party's nomination.
An Associated Press GFK poll suggests President Obama would get more than 50 percent of the vote, regardless of whom he faces.
Nationally, republicans are evenly split between Romney and Santorum.
The poll found 33 percent would most like to see Santorum get the nomination, while 32 percent prefer Romney.
Gingrich and Paul each had 15 percent support.
But one local polling expert says he doesn't think the GOP is worried.
"It is a long way from election day and I think once it's down to President Obama and whomever the republicans choose, then the real race will start to shape up," said Dave Doyle, Marketing Resource Group.
