Habitat For Humanity Breaks Ground On 4 'Green' Homes

Posted:

Thursday, Habitat for Humanity broke ground on a new home in Lansing with an energy efficient twist, a new green development on Wayne Street.

Four new 'green,' energy efficient homes will be built.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held to thank sponsors whose donations help Habitat continue their mission to improve neighborhoods and help economically disadvantage families.

"It's important to me that we'll have new homeowners in Lansing...good, hardworking in their personal lives, who deserve to live in a clean, safe building," said Denise Paquette, Executive Director, Habitat for Humanity, Lansing.

This housing project is being built in partnership with the City of Lansing and construction is expected to be completed next year.
