Fire Smokes Residents Out Of Apartment Complex

Several people are homeless after a fire at a Delta Township apartment building.

Firefighters responded at about 2 p.m. to a report of smoke inside a building at the Devonshire on Canal apartment complex.

Firefighters think it may have originated in the attic.

Several people who live in the building were evacuated.

There's no word on what sparked the fire or how many of the 24 apartments in the building have been damaged.

The Red Cross is helping residents who have nowhere to go.
