The effort to recall Governor Rick Snyder comes to an end.
This all comes as efforts to recall Wisconsin's governor went down to defeat at the polls.
Here in our state, the group Michigan Rising has been out gathering signatures for more than a year.
But on Thursday, members announced they won't try to get the measure on the November ballot.
Leaders of the political action committee say they are happy with everything volunteers have done the past 15 months, but after watching all the work that went in to the failed Wisconsin efforts, they say it's clear Michigan Rising wouldn't reach its goal either.
The group had hoped to get 200,000 signatures by June 1st, but fell way short of that. The communications director says the group may have gotten fewer than 5,000.
When told about the recall on the rocks, Governor Snyder told 6 News "Well, that's nice!"
