Three Arrested in High-Speed Chase Through Jackson

Posted:

A high-speed chase through the City of Jackson ends with 3 juveniles in police custody.

The chase started just after 1 o'clock Tuesday morning when an officer tried to pull a car over for running a red light near Francis and Ganson Streets.

The car initially stopped, but as the officer approached, the car took off.

For 10 minutes, police say the car sped through construction zones and drove the wrong way down Lansing Avenue.

The chase finally came to a stop at the Abbey Villa Apartment Complex on Van Buren Street.

But it wasn't over, all 4 passengers got out and took off running.

Police say they ran several blocks to Stewart Street before police caught up with them.

Three males were arrested and the only female in the car managed to get away.

Two of the boys were taken to youth homes.
