Jackson Woman is 1 of 2 to Win Senior Citizen of the Year

Marie Taylor from Jackson is one of two Michigan Senior Citizens of the Year.

The 97-year-old received the award for her work while living at Vista Grande Ville where she started something called: "No-Da". It stands for: "No one dies alone."

Taylor pairs new residents with others to develop social opportunities and delivers meals and makes sure that resident's bills are taken care of.

Taylor was very humbled by the award, saying she "didn't want to be a star."
