UPDATE: Jason Timothy Desjardins was arraigned on charges of assault with intent to commit murder and home invasion.
ORIGINAL: A 34-year-old man is in police custody after officials say he stabbed another man and sent him to the hospital.
Police say it happened just before 3:30 A.M. Thursday morning in the 300 block of South Holmes Street.
The 27-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital and is expected to survive. Authorities believe the act was not random.
