A Grand Ledge man was sentenced Thrusday for the death of 3-month-old Olivia Truax.
After pleading guilty in Eaton County Circuit Court on June 1st to second degree murder, 22-year-old Joshua Piercefield was sentenced to 18 to 27 years in prison.
According to officials, he admitted to shaking his girlfriend's child, then violently dropping her to the floor.
She died four days later of brain injuries.
