Utilities say some 285,000 homes and businesses across Michigan are without power following several days of thunderstorms and hot weather.
DTE Energy Co. says about 200,000 of its customers were without power Thursday morning after a new round of damaging thunderstorms made its way across the state, knocking down trees and power lines.
Since Tuesday, DTE says about 320,000 of its customers have been affected.
CMS Energy Corporation - which runs Consumers Energy - says more than 90,000 of its customers were without power.
The Lansing Board of Water and Light says around 2,000 customers are without power - most of them in neighborhoods near Lake Lansing and Saginaw east of U.S. 127.
A break down of power outages in the mid-Michigan area goes as follows.
INGHAM - 2,780 from Consumers, another 2,000 customers from Lansing's Board of Water and Light

Consumers Energy crews are working to restore power for all customers in the area but do not know when the electricity will come back on.
