Candidate For Sheriff Tests Positive For Cocaine

Posted:

A man who is running for Jackson County sheriff is in jail after testing positive for using cocaine.

That's according to our media partners at the Jackson Citizen Patriot.

Lance Laird was already on probation for domestic assault when he tested positive for the drug in a screening on June 16th.

Laird is in jail with a bond set at $838 - the same amount of fines and costs he still owes in the domestic assault judgment.

You can read more about this in the Jackson Citizen Patriot's story here.
