Woman Shot During Fireworks Identified


The name of the woman who was shot during the Lansing fireworks has been released.

34-year-old Michelle Packard was shot Wednesday at Adado Park.

If you have any information on who may have shot the gun, police are asking you to call Detective Mark Lewandowsy at (517) 483-6859

Lansing Police Department will hold a press conference lat.er today. 6 News will have a crew there and provide updates on the web and on 6 News at 6.

Now her family is still trying to come to terms with what happened the night the world lost an incredible woman.

"Michelle spent her time laughing, laughing a lot. I loved her laugh. I'd find any excuse to make her laugh. We all mourn the passing of such a great, kind, accomplished, compassionate, fun, funny, dorky, beautiful and in every way amazing woman that was Michelle," said Wesley Thomas, Michelle's fiance.
