Family Speaks Out About Man Found Mummified

Posted:

One day after a man was found mummified in his home, his family is explaining why he had been dead so long without them knowing.

6 News spoke to the nephew of Charles Zigler, Aaron Dryer, over the phone today.

He explained why Zigler's family didn't know he'd been dead for two years and has some harsh words for Linda Chase, the woman who lived in the home with Zigler's dead body.

"I had tried to call him, but had never gotten a response from calling his phone. She would come up with excuses. He went to the store, sleeping or in the shower or things of that nature," said Dryer. "She is fully aware of what she has done. She is not fully aware of the damage she is causing our family by going on TV and lying through her teeth."

Officials tell us Chase could face fraud charges as she continued to collect Zigler's social security checks long after he died.

Dryer thinks she should face murder charges since, he says, Chase has admitted that she did not call an ambulance for help back in Decemer 2010 when Zigler died.
