East Lansing Police are on the look-out for a man who escaped their custody Thursday morning.

Authorities originally took the man into custody after he fled from the traffic stop.

However, he ran after they took him to Sparrow Hospital in Lansing complaining of a medical problem. His hands were still cuffed behind his back when he took off.

Police describe him as a black 17-year-old male, 5'9" and weighing 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white crew-neck t-shirt.

He could still have his hands cuffed.

If you see him, police are asking you to call 911.
