Local Couple Arrested for Meth Lab

Posted:

The Eaton County Sheriff's Department received a tip from a retail store of a man buying meth components Thursday.

The caller gave officers the suspect's license plate number, which was registered to a resident in the 7000 block of Williams Rd in Windsor Township.

Homeowners refused to cooperate with investigators, so a search warrant was issued.

Inside the home, officers found meth components, along with finished meth and a handgun.

Both the male suspect, 34-year-old Lane Veneman and his 35-year-old wife Peytyote Veneman, were arrested for operating a meth lab.

Both were arraigned before a judge and charged with VCSA/Amphetamine Other. Bond was set at $25,000.
