Gary Glenn Drops Out of Senate Race: Supports Clark Durant

Republican candidate and Tea Party favorite, Gary Glenn, has dropped out of the U.S Senate race to support Clark Durant.

Glenn made the announcement Thursday evening to a crowd of supporters.  In a recent Associated Press interview, he said he doesn't believe the current GOP front-runner, Pete Hoekstra, can beat current Senator Debbie Stabenow.

Hoekstra is running as a Conservative candidate and has been helped by the fact that Durant, Glenn and Randy Hekman, all Tea Party Favorites, have been splitting the vote.

Glenn's withdrawal could make Durant more of a threat in the August 7th primary election.
