Crime Stoppers: Request for Assistance and 2 ID's

Police need your help to solve three CrimeStoppers cases this week.

Request for Assistance:

Officers responded to a shooting call in the early morning hours of July 8th in the 1000 block of Jenison Ave in Lansing.

 A party of approximately 15 to 20 people was gathered in front of the residence. A person or persons in an unknown dark colored SUV fired a number of rounds into the gathered crowd. Two persons were struck by the shots and 16-year-old Lavon Wilson was killed.  Most then fled the scene.

The Lansing Police Department is asking anyone in attendance or anyone that knows of any person that was in attendance at this party to come forward with this information by calling the detective at (517) 483-6853 or (517) 483-STOP.

Attempt to Identify: 

Police have responded to six calls for service by Meridian Township residents saying two men posing as driveway repair specialists tried or did enter their home.

The men would ask the resident, normally an elderly person, if they could come in and speak about their driveway.

 

They are described as a thin man, possibly Hispanic, 5'7" in his mid-20's with fair skin and dark hair; and a large-build man, medium to dark skin, Hispanic in his late 20's, with distinct pock marks on his face, wearing a gold chain with a medallion.

 

Their vehicles are described as a 2011 or newer silver minivan, a newer model silver pickup truck and a newer model Chevy Silverado four door, either dark blue or black.

Attempt to Identify:

A Fifth Thrid bank was robbed on Pennsylvania Ave in Lansing on July 20th around 10:30a.m.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5'7" to 5'10", weighed around 180 pounds, and was wearing a long sleeve black t-shirt, black baseball hat with a white mesh in the back and dark sunglasses. A black 4 door Chrysler sedan is possibly associated with this crime.
