Summer campers not put off by cooler weather and look forward to Fall adventures.
Hundreds gathered in the "delivery room" at the General Motors' Lansing Grand River plant on Thursday morning waiting for their newborn.
At around 10:30 a.m., they got the news: it's a car.
It's not just any car. It's the first retail Cadillac ATS to roll off the lines at the Lansing plant.
No one knows who the "parents" will be. The red "compact luxury sports sedan" hasn't been promised to anyone yet.
But the car is the capstone of a project that created a second shift and added 600 jobs to the Lansing area.
The car starts at about $33,000. While pictures and video have been out for a while, the ATS marketing campaign will start on Friday in conjunction with the Olympic games.
