Woman in Critical Condition After Early Morning Crash

Posted:

A Grass Lake woman is recovering at the University of Michigan Hospital today after a crash on Wolf Lake and Page Avenue in Grass Lake Township early Friday morning.

Police say the 41-year-old woman was the only person in the single vehicle traffic crash.

Grass Lake Township Fire and Rescue removed the woman from the vehicle. She was then airlifted to the hospital. She is now listed in critical, but stable, condition.

The initial investigation suggests the vehicle was going eastbound on Page Avenue when the woman failed to stop for a stop sign, crashing into a tree. Evidence also suggests she was not wearing her seat belt.

It is unknown if alcohol was a factor at this time.
