Man Breaks Free From Police Taser... Twice

Posted:

An unusual chase in Livingston County today after a man ran from police despite being tasered two times.

According to the Fowlerville Police Chief the man was pulled over near O'Connors Deli on Grand Avenue just before 1:00pm Sunday and found to be driving on a suspended license.

Police say the man refused to cooperate and tried to run away. That's when the officer chased him and deployed the taser.

Despite that taser, police say the man kept running and was able to get back in his car. He then led police on a chase that ended at the suspects home.

That's where police say again, the man tried to get away, and again, he was able to break free from a stun gun.

According to the chief, the taser guns were fired and functioned correctly. He says it's very unusual for a person to withstand the effects.

The suspect was lodged in the Livingston County Jail.
