Fire Nearly Destroys Jackson Business

Posted:

A fire nearly destroys a Blackman Township business Saturday night.

Flames sparked around 7 P.M. at a party rental store called All-Star Rental on the 2400 block of Wildwood Avenue.

Fire-fighters from Summit Township were called in to assist Blackman crews.  The fire destroyed one side of the store and all the insulation in the building.  No one was hurt.

Owners of the shop say they were able to save computer monitors and some other business equipment.

There is no word yet on what caused the fire.
