The primary election is Tuesday and voters will be weighing-in on races for U.S. Senate, National and State Representatives and local issues at stake.
Voters in Lansing, Meridian Township and Jackson will head to the polls to decide on a number of key issues, including property sales, transportation and road repair and education, among others.
In Lansing, voters will see a ballot initiative either for or against the sale of Waverly Golf Course and Michigan Avenue Park. The city hopes to sell the land and turn it into retail and housing space.
In Meridian Township, a road repair millage renewal proposition is up for a vote. Officials are hoping people will support a continued .25 mill rate so the township can collect nearly $400,000 to preserve, maintain and resurface major roads.
And in Jackson County, there are four millage renewals on the ballot dealing with public transportation services, the department of aging's budget, the intermediate school district's special education program and the Grass Lake Township Fire Department.
