Police Search for Suspect After Dog Found Stabbed, Broken Bones

Posted:

Police are looking for any information on the suspect responsible for torturing and killing a small, black dog.

A Chihuahua-terrier mix was found in a bag with several broken bones, stab wounds and a slit throat. The dog was found in the 3100 block of Reo Rd.

"This gruesome crime is unimaginable and the perpetrator should be punished," said Jamie McAloon-Lampman, Director of the Ingham County Shelter. "This is one of the most disturbing cases we have ever investigated. We are looking for the public to help us solve this senseless act. There is no reason to treat any animal this way. The person responsible for this act should be considered dangerous."

Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Ingham County Animal Shelter at 517-676-8370 or the anonymous tip line at 517-676-8376. A $300 reward is being offered to information that leads to an arrest.
