'Dream Relief' Program Starts Wednesday

Posted:

A new government program called "Dream Relief'" that allows teenage immigrants who entered the United States illegally avoid deportation started Wednesday.

Illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. before their 16th birthday can apply for a work permit and a chance to stay in America.

Free workshops are underway across the nation to educate people about the program and help with the application process. In Lansing, there's a workshop Wednesday afternoon at Cristo Rey Church on miller road from 3p.m. to 8p.m.
