UPDATE: State Police have identified the victim as 29-year-old Marcy Jean Winnie.
Investigators say she was traveling near Earl and Baseline Roads in Henrietta Township when her car went off the road and crashed into a tree.
Police say Winnie was thrown from the vehicle. Emergency crews pronounced her dead at the scene.
There's no word yet on what might have caused the accident.

Police are on the scene of what has now been reported as a fatal accident in Henrietta Township, off a country road in Jackson County.
It happened around 2:15p.m. on Thursday when the single vehicle left the road and hit a tree.
The name of the victim will be released upon the family's notification.
The investigation is still ongoing.
