The tradition continues as East Lansing and Haslett clash in the season opener.
This has grown into a rivalry between evenly matched neighbors, as the Trojans and Vikings have split 10 previous meetings, with an even 5-5 record. Rivalry renewed in front of a rowdy Haslett crowd, but this one is all East Lansing.
The Trojans go up 21-0 before Haslett gets on the board in the third. No quit in Connor Brewer who gights his way in, 21-6.
This will be the third win in a row for East Lansing over rival Haslett, 38-18.
