Film crews and around 100 people hit the state capitol building steps Thursday morning to film for a "Pure Michigan" lip dub.
Participants sang parts of the Carly Rae Jepsen and Owl City Song "Good Time."
It took a couple of takes and about 30 minutes of filming to get the jumping, fist pumping and singing just right.
"Oh, it was so much fun! Everybody was so fired up, so much energy they were all cheering and singing. We were having a great time," said participant Tony Tori.
The song is about three and a half minutes long, but Lansing will only get a three to five second part. That's because 50 cities are expected to be featured in the video.
"We're just trying to show everyone what Michigan has to offer. Something that would be of interest to everyone who wants to live, work or visit Michigan," said Rob Bliss, video director.
This is day five in the film crew's seven day tour across the state. Their next stop is Kalamazoo.
The video should be out by September 9th or 10th.
