UPDATE: Chloe West was found safe in Chicago at Union Station with her mother, Lisa West on Friday around 4p.m.

West is in custody in Chicago awaiting extradition to Michigan to face a charge of parental kidnapping.

Chloe will be returned to St. Joseph tonight and placed in the care of the Department of Human Services.

ORIGINAL: An active Amber Alert has been issued for Allegan, Barry, Berrien, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph and Van Buren counties.

St. Joseph police are currently investigating a reported endangered, missing child. 2-year-old Chloe West was taken by her mother, Lisa West.

Chloe is a black female, 21" tall, 25 pounds, with brown eyes, black, braided hair with barrettes. She was last seen wearing a pink short sleeved dress with white flowers and matching ruffled shorts.

West is described as a 40-year-old black female. She is 5'5" and 160 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing black shorts and a white t-shirt.

West had her paternal rights terminated and Chloe is believed to be in extreme danger. Officials belive they left the city by foot.
