Toys R Us is encouraging shoppers to get an early start on their holiday shopping.
Beginning Tuesday, the toy store is waiving its service fee and minimum purchase requirement for its lay-away program which will run through October 31st. After that, you'll have to pay a $5 service fee to put an item on layaway.
Last month, Walmart also announced it's expanding it lay-away program, but there's still a $15 fee to open an account and customers must spend a minimum dollar amount.
