Portland Man Charged for Death of Infant Son

A Portland man is behind bars after being charged with killing his young son.

The father, Keith Thibeault, was arrested Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities say his son, Everette, was three months old when he and his twin brother were taken to Sparrow hospital in March with serious injuries. Everette died the next day.

There are still several questions about what happened that day, but court reports show that Everette had a fractured rib, brain injury and internal bleeding. It states that some of those injuries were days old, others even months old. Those injuries proved to be inconsistent with what Thibeault said happened.

Keith Thibeault has been charged with felony murder and first degree child abuse of his 3-month-old son. He was denied bond and sent back to jail.

It is unclear if charges will also come down on for Everette's twin brother's injuries as well.

He is due back in court in a few weeks.
